After a wait of long 18 years, Tarique Rahman, Acting Chairman of Bangladesh Nationalist Party, is finally scheduled to return to homeland on 25 December 2025.
The information was delivered by the Party's Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at a press conference after an emergency meeting of the standing committee members held at the BNP Chairperson's office in Gulshan on Friday(Dec 12) night. Tarique Rahman was virtually present in the meeting.
Mirza Fakhrul also said that Tarique Rahman's role in the recent democratic transition, including the student uprising, has brought BNP to the brink of success. The Secretary General also commented that a new political chapter will begin with his return to the country.
