Leaders and activists of the banned Awami League and its affiliated organizations blocked multiple points of the Dhaka-Khulna and Barishal highways in Bhanga upazila, Faridpur, as part of a lockdown program.

During the protest, tires were set on fire and tree trunks were placed across the roads, halting traffic. Disturbingly, children were present on the streets, some wearing helmets and holding sticks, while one child was even seen carrying a machete alongside adults chanting slogans. At least ten children were observed participating in the blockade.

The protest began around 6 a.m. near the Shuadi bus stand area and continued until around 9 a.m. Police cleared the Puliya section within an hour. Locals noted that the area is a stronghold of the Awami League, and over a hundred activists were involved. Authorities continue to monitor the situation for public safety and legal actions.
