On December 1, 2025, Ahidul Islam confessed to killing his close friend Muntasir Fahim at the Nazrul Academy ground in Trishal, Mymensingh. In a statement under Section 164, he claimed a dispute over alleged black magic pushed him to act in anger. Police later found Fahim’s body near a water tank at the school field based on Ahidul’s confession. Although both were longtime friends, investigators are now looking into whether a personal or love-related motive may have been involved.
