A shocking incident occurred in Mehdauri Colony, Prayagraj, where a rabies-infected cow attacked a 50-year-old disabled man, Adhed Prahlad. Witnesses said the cow violently trampled him for nearly three minutes, leaving him critically injured. Locals managed to rescue him and rushed him to Bailey Hospital, from where he was later referred to Swaroop Rani Hospital due to his deteriorating condition.
The Livestock Department confirmed that the cow was infected with rabies and has since been captured and quarantined at the Kazi House. Officials added that legal action is being taken against the cow’s owner for negligence.
