The interim government has begun preparations to hand over power to the new government. The oath-taking ceremony of the new government may take place within four to five days of the parliamentary election. The government led by Professor Muhammad Yunus intends to formally transfer responsibility through an official ceremony. Planning is underway to hold the oath-taking between February 16 and 18, ahead of Ramadan.
Relevant departments, including the Cabinet Division and the Parliament Secretariat, have been instructed accordingly, while Bangabhaban has also been asked to remain prepared.
