Independent candidate Dr. Tasnim Jara has been allotted the ‘Football’ symbol in the Dhaka-9 constituency. She collected the electoral symbol from the Dhaka Divisional Office on Wednesday (January 21) afternoon.
Dr. Tasnim Jara herself confirmed the matter. In a post on her verified Facebook page, she wrote, “Overcoming all obstacles, we are contesting the election with the Football symbol.”
Speaking to the media after receiving the symbol, Dr. Tasnim Jara said, “I am contesting the upcoming national parliamentary election with the Football symbol. We will officially begin our election campaign from tomorrow. Our campaign will be based on the kind of politics we want to see politics rooted in transparency and accountability. I seek everyone’s prayers and best wishes."
