The government has appointed Omar bin Hadi, brother of Inqilab Manch convener Sharif Osman bin Hadi, as the second secretary at the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Birmingham, UK, on a contractual basis.
A notification in this regard was issued by the Contracts and Foreign Employment Branch of the Ministry of Public Administration on Thursday (January 15).
According to the notification, Omar Bin Hadi has been appointed to this post for a period of three years from the date of joining. Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Abul Hayat Md. Rafique signed the notification on January 15, as per the order of the President. The order, issued in the public interest, states that other terms and conditions of appointment will be determined through the relevant contract.
The notification further states that during the period of appointment, he will not be able to have any other profession, business or any working relationship with any government, semi-government or private institution or organization. That is, during this period, he will have to perform government duties while maintaining complete lien or professional detachment.
