For the first time, an accused in the International Crimes Tribunal has been granted bail in connection with the killings during the July Revolution. His name is Humayun Kabir Patwary. He is an Awami League leader at the upazila level of Lakshmipur. The three-member tribunal led by Justice Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, Chairman of the International Crimes Tribunal-2, gave the order on Sunday.He was granted bail as he was suffering from liver cirrhosis.
