Sukumar Barua's daughter Anjana Barua confirmed this information.She said that her father was admitted to a hospital in Chittagong for the past week due to various old-age related ailments. Her father had fluid accumulation in his lungs. He died this morning while undergoing treatment there.
According to family sources, Sukumar Barua's right leg became paralyzed after a brain stroke in 2006. Since then, he had been suffering from various complications including heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes.
