Winter is steadily intensifying across Bangladesh, with cold conditions expected to worsen tonight. Meteorological forecasts indicate that temperatures in at least 15 districts may drop to around 10°C, and in some areas could fall even lower if weather conditions remain favourable. Districts likely to be affected include Chuadanga, Meherpur, Kushtia, Jhenaidah, Jessore, Khulna, Gopalganj, Rajshahi, Natore, Pabna, Chapainawabganj, Naogaon, Dinajpur, Panchagarh, and Nilphamari.

In the capital Dhaka, residents are expected to experience a minimum temperature ranging between 12°C and 14°C. The colder nights are already being felt, particularly during late night and early morning hours, affecting daily routines and increasing health risks for vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and outdoor workers.
Meteorologists have advised the public to take necessary precautions, including wearing warm clothing and avoiding prolonged exposure to cold, as the winter spell continues to strengthen across the country. Authorities also urge extra care for those without adequate shelter during this period.
