A deadly cocktail explosion in Dhaka's Mogbazar area on Wednesday evening, claimed one life and leaving another person in critical condition. The blast occurred near the Wireless Gate when miscreants hurled a powerful cocktail bomb from the Mogbazar flyover. It landed directly on a man standing below, killing him instantly.
The victim was identified as Siam, an employee at Zahid Car Decoration, a local business in Mogbazar. Ramna Division Deputy Police Commissioner Masud Alam confirmed that preliminary investigations point to the explosive striking the victim's head directly. Another individual suffered serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent treatment.Police swiftly cordoned off the site and launched a full investigation to track down the perpetrators. Security measures have been ramped up in the vicinity, with officers reviewing CCTV footage and gathering evidence. Authorities urge the public to stay vigilant amid heightened tensions.
