The display took place at the parade ground near Tejgaon Old Airport in Dhaka and was organized by the Bangladesh Army, Air Force, and Navy as part of celebrations marking the 54th year of independence. A total of 54 paratroopers from “Team Bangladesh” descended simultaneously, each carrying a national flag, creating a striking red-and-green visual.
Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus witnessed the historic jump between 11:40 am and 12:00 pm, which set a world record for the highest number of parachutists holding flags at the same time. The event also featured a flypast by aircraft and helicopters from the armed forces and drew large crowds following security checks.
