According to Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Ayesha was detained in an early-morning operation in Jhalokathi after being on the run since the killings of 48-year-old Laila Afroz and her 15-year-old daughter, Nafisa Nawal Binte Aziz, at their flat on Shahjahan Road in Mohammadpur, Dhaka. She is accused in the case filed by Laila’s husband, AZM Azizul Islam, who alleged that the house help attacked his wife and daughter with a sharp weapon.
