A sense of fear and alarm has gripped the residents of Kashinagar Union (No. 1) in Chauddagram Upazila, Cumilla, following a spate of consecutive robberies in the past few days. The affected areas include Sreefaltala, Rampur, Sheetalatala, and most recently, Alipur villages, where multiple houses were targeted in a single night.
According to local sources, the pattern of crime escalated rapidly. After initial reports of robberies in Sreefaltala and Rampur, the latest and most impactful incident occurred late on November 27. The village of Alipur was hit, with several houses being simultaneously ransacked by the bandits.
The robbers reportedly made off with a significant amount of valuables before fleeing the scene, leaving the victims to raise the alarm in despair. The sound of their cries and the scale of the thefts have created a major stir in the locality
