The deceased was identified as Mushfiq Uz Zaman, a student of the Department of Mathematics and Physical Sciences at East West University.
University authorities discovered the body lying behind the campus around 3:30pm and immediately informed the police.
Sohel Rana, in-charge of the police outpost adjacent to the campus, confirmed the incident, saying, "We have recovered the body of a man from an area behind the East West University campus. The cause of death has not yet been determined. The body has been sent to the morgue for investigation."
He added that necessary investigative procedures have begun to determine the cause of death.
