A domestic quarrel in Birampur, Dinajpur turned deadly when 55-year-old Hafizul Islam was fatally struck by his wife, Rehena Begum, with a wooden stool after he refused to buy her a new saree for the Nabanna festival. Hafizul was taken to Birampur Upazila Health Complex, where he was pronounced dead. Rehena Begum has been detained, and the body has been sent for autopsy. Legal action will follow once the report is received.
