Two crude bomb explosions were reported in Mirpur-1 and Mouchak this evening (17 November), occurring within a span of just 30 minutes.
According to Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Traffic Division, the first incident took place around 5:30 pm when an unidentified individual hurled two crude bombs from the foot-overbridge in front of Mukto Bangla Shopping Complex, Mirpur-1. No injuries were reported.
About half an hour later, around 6 pm, miscreants dropped crude bombs from the Mouchak flyover near the busy crossing. One rickshaw-puller sustained leg injuries in the blast and was taken for treatment.
Police say the attackers fled immediately after both incidents. Investigations are underway to identify the perpetrators and determine whether the explosions were coordinated.
