In a video message released today, National Citizen Party (NCP) member secretary Akhter Hossen stated that the death sentence handed down to Sheikh Hasina for crimes against humanity is, according to him, the “rightful punishment.”
He also urged the Indian government to return Hasina who he claims is currently staying in India o Bangladesh to face the verdict.
Hossen called for quick implementation of the judgment, saying it would “set an example before the world” and bring “full justice” for alleged killings and violence committed under her leadership.
He further claimed that the court ruling proves she authorized shootings, lethal weapon use, and actions that led to mass casualties.
This statement has sparked a new wave of political discussion across the country.
