Content creator Ashraful Alom (Hero Alom) has been arrested in connection with an attempted murder case filed by his former wife, Riya Moni. He was detained around 2:30 PM today from a private office in Rampura’s Ulon area by Hatirjheel Police.
According to DMP’s Tejgaon Division Deputy Commissioner Md. Ibne Mizan, Riya Moni filed the case on June 23, accusing Hero Alom and another suspect, Ahsan Habib Selim, of attempted murder, physical assault, threats, and intimidation.
On November 12, an arrest warrant was issued by the Additional CMM Court. Police executed the warrant today and produced Alom before the court.
Case details state that after marital disputes, Hero Alom divorced Riya Moni and allegedly assaulted her on June 21 with the help of 10–12 unidentified individuals. She reported injuries and the theft of a gold chain during the incident.
