It said that rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty or squally winds of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour from the west or northwest are likely to occur over Dhaka, Faridpur, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mymensingh and Sylhet regions from 9 am on Sunday.

The river ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.Meanwhile, the weather warning for heavy rainfall said that the distinct low pressure area located over South Bihar and adjacent areas has moved north-northeastwards and is currently located over Gangetic West Bengal and adjacent western parts of Bangladesh in the form of a low pressure area. Due to this, heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur in some areas of Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions in the next 24 hours from 6 pm on Saturday. Rainfall of 44 to 88 mm is likely to occur in these places.
