Humayra Masud, a Hafıza from Chandpur, has secured first place in the International Quran Competition held in Cairo, Egypt, organized by the Indonesian Quran Reciters Association. Competing against 143 participants from 12 countries, Humayra received the top honor in the women’s category during the award ceremony on November 11 at the historic Al-Moski area. Currently a student at Al-Azhar University, her victory follows a second-place finish in the 2010 Jordan International Hifz competition. Her achievement brings pride to Bangladesh, highlighting the country’s rich religious culture and Quranic traditions on the global stage.
