The family of the victim who died in the metro rail accident on October 26, 2025, in Dhaka will receive an initial compensation of Tk 5 lakh. The government and metro rail authorities have announced that they will take full responsibility for the victim’s family. In addition to the financial compensation, an able member of the victim’s family will be offered a job at the metro rail project. A five-member investigation committee has been formed to probe the incident, and medical treatment is being arranged for those injured in the accident. The affected section of the metro rail service remains suspended until further safety assurance
