Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Environment Adviser to the interim government of Bangladesh, has firmly rejected speculations that she or other government advisers are seeking a “safe exit” from the country. She stated clearly, “I am not looking for a safe exit. I will spend the rest of my life in Bangladesh,” reaffirming her lifelong commitment to the nation amidst recent political rumors. Her remarks came in response to claims by National Citizens Party convener Nahid Islam, who alleged some advisers are preparing to leave. Rizwana expressed that such accusations need clarification and specificity, and until that happens, the government has no comment. She emphasized that responding to informal and vague statements is not practical for governance and that her focus remains on her duties in Bangladesh.
