Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC's official Facebook page was hacked on Friday, October 3, 2025. The hacker group named "Team MS 47OX" took control of the page early in the morning at around 5:42 am.
They changed the profile and cover photos and posted threatening messages warning of a possible major cyberattack on the bank’s Facebook page and website. Despite the changes, the page’s official name remained unchanged. By late morning, the page became inaccessible even through Facebook search. The bank’s Public Relations head, Nazrul Islam, confirmed the hacking incident and stated that the bank's IT department is actively working to resolve the issue. The hack caused concern among customers and the general public, as unauthorized posts appeared on the page, though it is unclear if the bank's online services were affected.
