Notre Dame College student Junaid Amin, who drowned 20 days before the HSC results, received GPA-5 with perfect scoring .
Junaid, a student from the Humanities stream, lost his life on September 27 while boating with friends during a visit to his maternal uncle’s house. His father, Morshedul Amin, broke down upon hearing the results, saying,
“He was a brilliant student, kind-hearted, and full of dreams. He wanted to study abroad. Now he’s gone my world is shattered.”
Witnesses said Morshedul fainted several times while speaking.
Notre Dame College Principal Dr. Father Hemonto Pius Rosario expressed deep sorrow, remembering Junaid as a bright, socially active student loved by peers and teachers alike.
