Jahangirnagar University JACSU Results Delayed; Vote Counting Still Underway
Even after 41 hours of voting, the results of the Jahangirnagar University Central Students’ Union (JACSU) election remain unannounced. So far, counting has been completed in 16 of the university’s 21 halls, while ballots from three others are still being tallied. The prolonged wait has drawn frustration from both students and candidates.
Earlier, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan held an emergency meeting with the Election Commission. It was decided to increase manpower and announce the results by midnight. However, the deadline passed, and by morning the counting was still unfinished. At that point, votes from only 12 halls had been counted, with two more completed about an hour and a half later. Counting continues in the remaining halls.
