Three teenagers have been taken into custody by police in Satkhira’s Kaliganj upazila on suspicion of gang-raping a four-year-old girl.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mizanur Rahman of the Kaliganj Police Station confirmed the situation, saying, “A case has been registered under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act. This afternoon, September 12, the arrested individuals were taken to the Satkhira court.
The victim’s mother claims that yesterday, September 11, at around 2:00 pm, her daughter went to play at a neighbor’s house when the three adolescent neighbours allegedly led her to a room and gang-raped her.
After being brought to the Upazila Health Complex, the youngster was subsequently moved to Satkhira Sadar Hospital for medical care.
Satkhira Superintendent of Police Monirul Islam visited the scene this afternoon. “The incident is being handled with utmost seriousness. This was a gang rape, and the culprits have already been brought under the law,” he said.
