Rajyalaxmi Chitrakar, wife of former Nepal Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal, has died tragically after her home was set ablaze by protesters amid widespread unrest across Nepal. The protests erupted in response to police brutality, leading to violent clashes that left 19 people dead and more than 300 injured on Monday alone.
In reaction to the escalating crisis, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli resigned, stating that his decision was aimed at facilitating political dialogue and resolving the ongoing turmoil. Despite his resignation, protests continued to spread on Tuesday, with demonstrators targeting government offices, Oli’s home in Balkot, and buildings in Janakpur.
