JCD VP Candidate Abidul Islam Khan Alleges Vote Rigging
Jatiotabadi Chatrodol’s vice president candidate, Abidul Islam Khan, has alleged widespread vote rigging in the ongoing election. He stated that from noon onwards, they began receiving complaints of irregularities and found evidence of vote rigging at Amar Ekushey Hall and Rokeya Hall.
He added that a written complaint has been submitted to the Election Commission, along with a demand for immediate action from the university administration.
According to him, since morning, their polling agents have been obstructed outside voting centers, while some were even forced out of polling booths. As a result, he remarked that the voting environment does not appear to be favorable.
Expressing concern, Abidul said the election is being pushed into a crisis due to such irregularities.
