Former Secretary Abu Alam Md Shahid Khan has been arrested in the capital’s Eskaton area by the Detective Branch at 2:30 a.m.
Police confirmed the arrest is linked to a case filed at Shahbagh Police Station.
In the last 24 hours, five more activists tied to the banned Awami League and its allies have also been detained for allegedly staging sudden processions aimed at destabilizing the country.
