Russia has launched its largest air attack on Ukraine since 2022, striking Kyiv’s government building for the first time.

At least 3 people, including a mother and her baby, were killed, while more than 18 others were injured as missiles and drones rained down on Kyiv and other major cities. Dozens of buildings were set on fire as explosions shook Odesa, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipro.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the strike a “deliberate crime,” urging global partners to respond with stronger action. World leaders, including the UK’s Keir Starmer and France’s Emmanuel Macron, condemned the attack, while the US signaled the possibility of further sanctions against Russia.
This marks a major escalation in the war, raising fears of wider conflict as civilian targets come under increasing fire.

Do you think global sanctions will be enough to stop Russia’s aggression?
