Md Mostafiz Hasan, 52, the officer-in-charge (OC) of the Detective Branch (DB) in Naogaon district, tragically passed away, and his wife suffered severe injuries when a passenger bus ran them over in Gazipur city on the night of September 5.
The incident occurred around 10 PM near the District Police Lines on Joydebpur-Shibbari road. The couple was struck by a speeding "Pather Sathi" bus while crossing the road after Md Mostafiz Hasan returned from a nearby shop. They were on their way to their car when the accident happened.
The confirmation of the officer's death came from Gazipur Metropolitan Police acting commissioner Md Zahidul Hasan.
