Bangladeshi actor Chanchal Chowdhury received the Bengal International Excellence Award at a ceremony in Kolkata on Sunday night (Aug 31). The event, organized by Ad-Mrin Entertainment, celebrated outstanding achievements in cinema, music, and sports.
The award was presented to @chanchal_chowdhury by Bollywood actress Mandakini. In a special moment, Chanchal delighted the audience by singing the popular song "Shada Shada Kala Kala" upon request.
After the event, Chanchal expressed, "Such recognition fuels my passion, responsibility, and honor. It motivates me to work harder and keep entertaining my audience."
He also shared about his upcoming projects in Bangladesh and Kolkata, including Bratya Basu's "Shekor" and Amitabh Bhattacharjee’s "Tridhara," featuring Rituparna Sengupta and Kaushik Ganguly.
Other notable awardees included Rituparna Sengupta, Laboni Sarkar, Abir Chatterjee, Kaushik Banerjee, Surajit Bandopadhyay, Lagnajita, Anik Dhar, Gautam Ghosh, and footballer Dipendu Biswas.
