A landmark step for Bangladesh’s health sector—KOICA and the Government of Bangladesh have signed a $5.9 million agreement to establish the country’s first-ever PhD programme in nursing under the National Institute of Advanced Nursing Education and Research (NIANER).
The project will enhance postgraduate research, provide advanced faculty training, modernize facilities, and foster global collaboration in nursing education.
This initiative marks a historic opportunity for Bangladeshi nurses to pursue doctoral-level qualifications, strengthening healthcare education and research for future generations.
