Considering the public inconvenience, BNP will replace its rally with a canal and drain cleaning program on the occasion of the party's founding anniversary.
The party's Senior Joint Secretary Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, "There has been a change in the BNP’s founding anniversary program. Specifically, the rally scheduled for tomorrow in Dhaka has been canceled, and the North and South BNP units will take the initiative to clean the canals and drains in their respective areas."
He shared this information with the media today, Monday (September 1).
Rizvi said, "The rally causes the entire city to become almost paralyzed, leading to public distress. This is why we have canceled tomorrow's rally. Instead, the program will focus on cleaning the canals, drains, and rivers."
Earlier, to mark BNP's 47th founding anniversary, a colorful rally had been announced for tomorrow, Tuesday (September 2) in Dhaka.
