Saudi Arabia's Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Sheikh passed away at the age of 82 on September 23, 2025. He had been serving as the Grand Mufti since 1999, also holding the roles of Chairman of the Council of Senior Scholars and the General Presidency of Islamic Research and Ifta with the rank of minister.
