The Trump administration has imposed fresh sanctions on four International Criminal Court officials- Judge Nicolas Yann Guillou (France), Judge Kimberly Prost (Canada), Deputy Prosecutor Nazhat Shameem Khan (Fiji), and Deputy Prosecutor Mame Mandiaye Niang (Senegal)- over their roles in authorising the court's arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
The warrants, issued in November 2024, accuse the Israeli leaders of committing war crimes in Gaza.
The sanctions, announced by the US Treasury and State Departments on August 20, freeze any US assets belonging to the officials and bar American entities from engaging in financial transactions with them.
