Ahead of the 13th parliamentary elections, Bangladesh’s interim government has announced major pre-election measures. Over 80,000 law enforcement personnel—including police, RAB, and BGB—will be deployed, with 40,000 body cameras planned to monitor polling stations.
To boost participation, separate polling booths will be arranged for young voters aged 18–25, while male and female voters will cast ballots in segregated sections to ensure safety and comfort. A total of 47,000 voting centers will be established nationwide.
These moves highlight the government’s push to deliver a secure, transparent, and inclusive election ahead of February 2026.
