Heartbreaking Appeal: Save 12-Year-Old Mariam Ibrahim fr
Mariam Ibrahim, a 12-year-old girl from Khan Younis in Gaza, suffered a devastating injury when an Israeli airstrike shattered her life and the shape of her head. Shrapnel pierced her brain and fractured her skull, forcing doctors to remove part of her frontal bone after multiple surgeries, leaving her with a permanently altered head shape.
Today, Mariam not only battles the physical scars of war but also suffers from severe malnutrition, intense pain, seizures, and dangerous spikes in body temperature. Her childhood has been stolen by war and cruelty—not only from the injury itself but from the bullying she endures because of her altered appearance.
Urgent surgical and reconstructive operations are her only hope to save her life and restore some normalcy to her childhood. This is a call to the global community to bring hope back to Mariam and free her from the cruel cycle of pain and ridicule.
