Bangladesh Bank to Launch Redesigned Tk100 Note with Advanced Security Features on August 12.
Bangladesh Bank is set to issue a redesigned Tk100 banknote on August 12, incorporating enhanced security features to prevent counterfeiting and improve the note’s longevity.
According to a press release from the central bank’s Communications and Publications Department on August 10, the new note will include ten distinct anti-counterfeit measures. Among the most notable features is a prominent “100” printed in color-shifting ink that changes appearance when the note is tilted.
The redesigned banknote also features a twisted security thread visible through four clear windows, which reveals the denomination when held against light. Under ultraviolet (UV) light, the thread displays fine inscriptions of “100 Taka” and “Bangladesh Bank,” further strengthening its security.
