BNP Leader Files Defamation Case Against NCP Organiser Over ‘False Propaganda’ in Journalist Murder
A BNP leader has filed a defamation case against Sarjis Alam, the Northern Region Chief Organiser of the National Citizen Party (NCP), accusing him of spreading false propaganda linking the BNP to the murder of journalist Asaduzzaman Tuhin in Gazipur.
The case was filed on Tuesday at around 11:30 am by the president of Basan Thana BNP with the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court in Gazipur.
Following the hearing, the court directed the CID to investigate the case and submit a report.
On the night of August 7, at around 8:00 pm, journalist Asaduzzaman Tuhin was hacked to death in the Chandna Chowrasta area of Gazipur.
