Tarique Rahman is the Future Prime Minister of Bangladesh: Mirza Fakhrul
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has declared that the party’s Acting Chairman, Tarique Rahman, will be the future Prime Minister of Bangladesh.
He made the statement on Saturday (9 August) while addressing the National Conference of the Doctors’ Association of Bangladesh (DAB) in Kakrail, Dhaka.
Fakhrul said, “In this country, it’s not just about establishing a democratic system or ensuring voting rights — we must also guarantee every right, including healthcare and access to food.”
Praising the country’s medical professionals, he remarked, “Bangladeshi doctors are the best in the subcontinent; the problem lies within the system. The culture of mutual dealings has destroyed us.”
Calling for an end to “politics of slogans,” the BNP leader reaffirmed, “Tarique Rahman is our future Prime Minister.”
Fakhrul also urged the interim government to ensure proper treatment for those injured during the July mass uprising.
