The Election Commission (EC) has announced plans to complete all arrangements for enabling expatriate Bangladeshis to exercise their voting rights through postal ballots by January next year.
According to the national election roadmap released on Thursday (August 28), the EC will finish procuring and distributing all necessary election materials at the field level by December.
The roadmap states that all activities related to postal voting for expatriates will be finalized by January 2026. The voter enlistment and registration process is scheduled to begin on November 11 this year and conclude by November 30.
In addition, the roadmap outlines that ballot papers will be dispatched and delivered to voters by January 5, 2026.
