Clashes Erupt Between Engineering Students and Police on Minto Road
Clashes broke out on Minto Road between engineering students and police on Tuesday as students pressed for their three-point demand. Earlier, they had blockaded Shahbagh and warned of a possible ‘Long March to the Secretariat’ if their demands were not met.
The movement, joined by students from both public and private universities, calls for the abolition of quotas in the 9th and 10th grade positions and a ban on the use of the “engineer” title without a BSc degree.
