BNP Taking All Necessary Steps to Implement July Charter: Salahuddin
BNP National Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed has said that the party is making every effort to ensure the implementation of the July Charter. He emphasized that, apart from 51 specific recommendations, the BNP has no differences with the consensus commission regarding the remaining proposals outlined in the charter.
Speaking on behalf of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, Salahuddin made the remarks on Friday afternoon during a visit to Al-Jamiatul Ahlia Darul Uloom Moinul Islam Madrasa in Hathazari, Chattogram.
“The BNP is committed to carrying out all necessary processes for the implementation of the July Charter. Except for 51 points where some differences exist, we share a common understanding with the consensus commission on all other recommendations,” Salahuddin told reporters.
The BNP leader further stated that the July Charter represents a framework for ensuring accountability and reforms, and his party is determined to move forward with it in line with the aspirations of the people.
During his visit, Salahuddin also conveyed greetings and assurances on behalf of Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman, reiterating that the party’s leadership is united in its stance regarding the charter’s execution.
