Flight BG-148 to Dhaka Makes Emergency Return After In-Flight Malfunction
A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight BG-148, en route from Chattogram to Dhaka, experienced a mechanical issue shortly after takeoff and was forced to return to Chattogram’s Shah Amanat International Airport.
The flight had originally arrived from Dubai on Thursday (July 24) at 7:15 AM, carrying 287 passengers, and landed at Shah Amanat International Airport. It departed for Dhaka at 8:37 AM, but was unable to reach its destination. Instead, the flight landed safely back in Chattogram at 8:58 AM.
According to a press release from the airport authority, the aircraft is currently stationed at Bay No. 8.
Airport Public Relations Officer, Engineer Mohammad Ibrahim Khalil, confirmed that repairs are underway and all passengers are safe.
Though the incident caused temporary concern among passengers, it was handled without any serious consequences.
