Amid the ongoing HSC exams and the devastating plane crash has occurred in the capital. With the country in mourning, many netizens and students are questioning why the exams are continuing as scheduled.
Journalist Zulkarnein Sayer and Rifat Rashid, President of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, have voiced their anger over the decision. Sayer raised concerns on social media about the government's response to the tragedy, asking why no one has considered postponing the exams in light of such a massive loss. Rashid echoed the sentiment, demanding the immediate suspension of tomorrow's HSC exams, stating that no student should be expected to sit for exams after such a tragedy.
One heart-wrenching comment came from Soha Akter Sadiya, whose friend Rubai’s mother died in the crash: ‘Will Rubai attend the exam tomorrow or bury her mother’s body?’
As the nation mourns, the question remains: Should the authorities continue with the exams, or show empathy by postponing them to honor the victims?"
