Following the political shift, textbooks at the primary and secondary levels are being revised to remove the images and quotes of the ousted former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Instead, the new editions will feature graffiti and wall art reflecting the spirit of the July uprising. This information has been confirmed by sources within the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB). Several NCTB officials have stated that the revisions focus on highlighting the ideals of the student-led uprising. Given that the event is recent and time is limited, the inclusion will emphasize visuals like graffiti and wall art rather than detailed text in certain books. An anonymous source further revealed that these illustrations will be included on the covers or specific sections of books such as Bangla, History, and Bangladesh and Global Studies. Additionaly, the images and quotes of Sheikh Hasina related to the student movement, previously found on the back pages of some textbooks, will be replaced with timeless sayings. Some historical topics are also being condensed in the process.
