When the fire tore through Korail Slum, hundreds of families lost everything. One such victim is Hosne Ara. She had worked as a domestic helper for years and gradually built a small home with a TV, some basic furniture and hope for her children. But when the fire struck on the evening of 25 November, the flames consumed her house before she could save a single thread of cloth; she fled with her children, leaving everything behind. Our local community‑worker teams are already on the ground in Korail meeting families like hers, assessing their needs, and distributing emergency aid directly to them.
